In this lesson，i have learned how to make a 3d model sculpture. At the beginning，we watched a video about the ballet artist and write some note about the artistic expression. Well，after that we start to do our own sculpture which is related to our theme. My theme is human body-internal organs. But my group has 4 people, so we decided to combine the theme in one outcome. I decided to make a shell, human body and chair to express the movement. So I made a shell used white and red recycle paper. I used white and black paper to cover the body, even the hand and arm. Then we took a video the express the movement and using screen shoot to capture the different movement.

I felt really excited and interested in this lesson，and I also think I did well. Because I like my outcome，i think it quite successful for me. I have expressed my idea on the outcome. Soi felt confident with my outcome.

In retrospect，if I had given myself more time and more choice of materials. I figure I will do it much better. I believe after this lesson，i basically realized how to make a sculpture. I think next time I will get better and I will see my improvement. From now on，i will try to practice more in the future and achieve a better result.

Today we have learned how to making pattern in photoshop. We scanned some drawing from last week. I created a blank square file 100×100mm. Then putted the pictures into photoshop and use the move tool to move an image into the blank file. I chose some pictures and cut out some of the them to combined together. I changed the size and color of some single drawing. I forgot to say that my theme is furniture，so i drew lots of furniture and organized them to become a pattern. After i changed size and color，i combined them together and chose a background. After that，i clicked right click，merge down to flatten the image into one layer. The next step is really important，because i made mistakes here twice. I applyed the offset filter and changed the horizontal and vertical axis to 590. The wrap around was ticked. After that，i used the clone tool to get rid of any lines across the image and paste in my additional motifs. Then i defined my pattern and named it pattern1. So it has been save in the computer. Then i created a new blank which is a3 file，i used this blank to select my pattern i saved，then the blank file will be filed with my pattern.

In retrospect, I now understand that some drawback I can avoid. like i can draw some more pattern then i can have more choice to select. The next time i do this activity, i will improve my photoshop skill and doing this work faster. Because now I know how exactly making a pattern using photoshop.

Today we have learned using a different way to draw abstract movement. At beginning，we watched an artist video at YouTube，then we analyzed what is the material had the artist used，what inspired the artist to make these artworks. I felt a bit hard because my English cannot support to understand the full video. I properly realized what should we do in this lesson. After analysis of the artist，we started using different ways to draw the abstract movement such as some of the artist outcome.

I chose a skeleton to draw because my theme is human body，so I figure this object might realize my topic. Then I used some drawing skills which I learned before，such like the further drawing，multiple color pencil and etc. I felt quite confident when I was drawing. Because of the drawing style is abstract，so I told myself don’t worry about my terrible sketch skill. However，the outcomes are actually not bad I think. Because I can see the movement in my artworks. I used 8 different way to draw，after I did that it was nearly the end of the lesson. after school，i did my homework which is draw a movement like the artist style. I took a photo from our classroom and using water color，colourpencil ，pencil and markpen.

However，i have to say I enjoyed this lesson because I do understand the whole process of what should I do in the lesson. Sometimes I feel nervous，sometimes I feel depressed when i learning new knowledges.

Today we have learned clay.first I used a rolling pin to roll a big clay from teacher. Then i got a smooth clay. After that I cut the clay used knife to make a brick. And I drew on clay with different type of tools. I also chose a primary photo from a trip in London. I used clay to cut the shape，detail of the building. I was feeling so sad because i felt it’s so hard. I can’t make it looks beautiful，and when i look at my classmates outcome i felt depression.

However，i still continue to practice. The result wasn’t better. I felt no hope on this lesson. There is my outcome at the bottom. I felt quite disappointed with my outcome because there’s no detail on this work，and i tried twice to make more detail. The shape was broken when i use too much energy to push and cut the clay.

In retrospect，if i had given myself more time，maybe i could do it better. I believe after practice the outcome will get better and i will see my improvement. From now on，i will try to practice more in the future and achieve a better result.

Today we have learned how to use computer to help us make a little film by ourselves. First of all，teacher gave us some nice outcome from the last year student. Then we started to take a video by in photograph studio. I felt really interested because if i learn that，looks like professional. However，i got no idea at that moment. I felt really nervous before taking video.

I found Justin and gyoku as my partner. We decided to take a video about war. So Justin and me act as invaders. Gyoku as guarder. Justin and me took the video first，we found some staffs as guns and grenade. I was throwing the grenade when we use gun to shoot gyoku. After that was gyoku taking video. She used some staffs as knife and shield to defend the attack by us. I felt it’s quite interesting and the video was successful. After that，we used a app to add some special effect on the video. We chose a war environment as background from Internet. Then we chose some cartoon figures as gyoku background and partners. Then we done！it’s quite cool i thought. I felt really exciting and satisfying because i thought making film is amazing even it is a short one. It was exactly what i had been hoping for.

What i learned is that how to make a short mix video by ourselves. The step by step i had made a notes. However，there are some details i still missed. That’s what i have to improve.in the future，i will focus on note the step by taught.

Today i have learned felt making at textile lesson. This is my first time using felt to create artwork. So i felt very interested when teacher ask us to pick up some colourful felt. And i chose a picture which i took in the past，it is a Landscape of winter. Then we started to using felt make the picture we have chose.

First of all，i chose pink as sky and green as the ground colour. And i took off the supple felt in the carder and putted the felt on the bubbles wrap. After that，my background is done. I enjoyed the process of learn how to making felt because it is quite interesting, then before cleaned the felt, we rolled the felt with the bubble wrap about 3minutes. Unfortunately, i didn’t achieve what i set out to because the after wash，the outcome is so strange. It’s not looks like my primary picture，it also not looks like others as a whole one. My outcome divided by 3 part.

In retrospect, i now understand that how to avoid the mistake. Such as using less energy to brush the felt and chose the right colour for the picture.

Today i had learn how to make the etching in colour. First of all, I drew 4 different background in the 4 papers. Then i used the same step like last week. I chose some strong colour as background. I was interested in finding out if dark etching and dark background mixed will it looks nice.

After painting，i pressed the ink into the paper. And i putted the paper into the rolling machine. After that i get a etching in color.i wasn’t particularly happy with my outcome because the colour is too dark，there’s too much tone on the etching，as i cannot see the line of the etching. Therefore，the contrast is less than last week.

What’s i learnt is that how to using colour as the etching background. I see that i need to work on my background more light than this time. When i do this activity in the future，i am going to try some light colour background.

Today I had learned cardboard net. I chose a rubbish bin which is from the last lesson I did to make a cardboard net. There are many different ways of creating a cardboard net. I had drawn six squares and mats which I put on other side taps on，then connected each square make them 3D. After that，i cut the paper and use it to making a 3D rubbish bin body. Then I made lots of hole at the front side of the rubbish bin and cut a rectangle at the back side and front side. So the rubbish bin cardboard net is basically done.

I found it is really tricky at the beginning of the process. Because I can’t imagine how to make a cardboard net. It is quite hard for me to do this kind of mathematics handwork. As what did I say, I wasn’t particularly happy with my outcome，because it is not what I expected. Fortunately，i did not make any mistake with this out come，the only drawback is too ugly…

The next time i do this activity i will focus on making the shape more straight. To make my outcome looks more professional，maybe o have to using more power to fold the paper will be useful.

Today we had learned heat transfer printing. I think this lesson is very interesting cos we did lots of handworks. First, of all，, we went outside to get some leaves for print. Then I painted the background in cartridge paper and design what you want to make. so I drew a tree without leaves because I wanna print the leaves into the paper. And also I drew a little smiley face between the tree. It looks quite cute.

After that, I started going to the next step which is using the hair dryer to dry the painting. then I used the heat transfer machine to print it. The heat transfer machine is quite dangerous because the temperature is very high，so we should be careful when we use the heat transfer machine. First, of all，, I put a cloth to cover the sheet because the machine is very hot. Then I put the greaseproof paper on the machine. After that put leaves on the greaseproof paper and puts another cloth to cover the artwork. Then it’s the last step— heat it！during the printing，i can smile leaves are heated. (It’s very hot and danger！)

This is my outcome，it was exactly what I had been hoping for. I am a very pleased with my outcome because there’s nothing going wrong，it means I didn’t make any mistake with my step. In retrospect，now I understand how to use the heat transfer machine and how to print leaves with it. However, when I do this kind of handwork in the future, I’m going to draw some more details before I use this heat transfer machine, that might be more successful I think.

Today we had learn development of idea. In this lesson，we did some photograph on the street. Then we put the pictures into our story idea. I had created a person who is from my imagination. Then we wrote the story of him.

The person i imaged is a cleaner who also doing the delivery at the same time. Because he is poor，he needs hard work. He has a habit of wearing skirts，when he work on the street，people see him are stunning because his dress looks very strange. One day，there is a young boy discriminate him，the boy use sharpen tongues like swords to bullying him. He feel very sad，he didn’t reply and just doing his work. However，i found it’s really tricky. That might because my sketch drawing is so bad，i did the pictures look not good.

I felt quite disappointed with the outcome，because the outcome looks so bad. Because my drawing skill don’t good… That is not what i expected. Although my drawing is bad，but i learned how to create a story with different story boards. In the future，i need to improve my drawing skill to achieve a better result.
