Today we had learn aperture with manual pattern on the camera. Firstly，i have to say sorry to Peter because i was been late at this lesson. When i arrived classroom，we were really to going outside and taking pictures. I think this lesson is quite similar like last lesson，because we used the same pattern like last week which is using the pattern from f4 to f16.

I found it really easy to take that pattern pictures. I think that might because i did lots of practice at last week. We went to different place and took different kinds of pictures. For me, i felt it was successful since what i did. After we took photo，i chose some of them and compare with each other. The picture is quite nice，i think i already know how to took photo with different aperture.

If i had given my self more time to practice，i think i can do better but not too many different. In my opinion，i think i have to remember how to use this pattern that is the most important thing. To make my outcome look more professional i also have to learn and look at the pictures of some famous photograph artists.

Evidence: for unit1 visual language，i would give myself a level of pass，because i did some outcome which i felt kind of successful. Such as i draw a picture from Renaissance study. I learned in that period the style is reality and humanity. All the works of the Renaissance revolved around this theme. And includes human perception, human belief, human sexuality. My outcome of the Renaissance is around this theme. I thought i learned this visual languages quite clearly. I probably understood the most of visual language in our art lesson. If i can learn the detail of visual language knowledges more clearly and drawing better，i think i can get a high level.

Unit2

Evidence:for unit 2 research tools，methods and skills，i would like to give myself a pass. Since lots of artwork i have done，most of them is all right. However, there are some mistakes i can’t avoid. Although some of the step i did unclearly，i have also did some research. I believe my works can’t be excellent pass but i think it’s might be good pass or pass. However，i learned a lot knowledges such as some tool i have never seen and how to use them to create my artwork. Therefore，i would like to give myself a pass.

Unit 3

Evidence: For unit3 Critical perspective in art and design，i would like to give myself a pass since i have learned lots of knowledges of art history in critical and contextual this subject. I think i learned quite hard work，and also i done all of the work with critical and contextual lesson carefully. So i would like to give myself a good pass foe unit 3. However，there is a big mistake for my critical and contextual which is i didn’t do too many decoration for my sketch book. So，it’s probably mark down the result. So i would like to give myself a pass.

Unit 4

Evidence: For unit4 material，processes and technical skills，i would like to give myself a pass since i learned lots of material and technical skill in the lesson of graphic and illustration，textile，photograph and etc. Some of the lesson，i have wrote some step notes on my notebook. Especially i like using photoshop with graphic and illustration. I learned a lot ps technical from that lesson，and i always practice using photoshop at home. So i would like to give myself a pass.

Today i studyed on moving image. We had learn how to make a storyboard with the moving called anna karenia.

We had draw some scenes with the sheet which teacher has gave us. We had learn some different way of the moving shoot，such as eye level shoot，extremely shoot and so on. We divide by 3 people group and for each person has draw the scenes of each paragraph. I felt really hard to do this work because i am not good at sketch drawing，and the story board is quite new for me，i had never try it before. And the fime is anna karenina. It is a novel by a Russian author leo tolstoy.

In conclusion，i am very interested in moving image，but to be honest，i felt really difficult to study this lesson. I am not good at using computer, so i got many hinder when i using the photoshop or AI. I hope i can improve my computer skills in the future.

Today we had learn how to use wax to painting. I have to say this is my first time to draw a painting with wax. firstly, we used the drawing pin make the fabric on the frame. Then i used the wax pot to heat the wax.when the wax getting to liquid，we can start to painting with max pen on the fabrix. there are some different size of the wax pen we can use，and we have to draw four pictures.

Firstly i draw a Chinese word on the first picture. Because it was Chinese New Year on this week，And i want to draw some transitional lucky staff with my art work. After that picture，i drew some views of firework，balloons. At the second and third pictures，i used max pen wrote an Chinese sentence which means happy new year. Because it’s celebrate new year，i used colourful colour to painting，such as red，yellow，blue and orange.

The wax is really hard to controlled difficult，if give me more changes to practice i think i will do better in the future.

Today i learned how to take photo at different part of people body. We went to the photograph studio to take professional photo with light machine.

All of us were very exciting at that lesson. there are two light machines with colourful paper that we can change for the pictures tonal. There is also a dark black background. The first picture i did was headshot, and i chose Justin to be my partner. Then, i was sitting on the chair and take a whole-body picture. I didn’t change the color of the light because i like the feeling of picture with original light. After we took lots of pictures with different part of shoot，we had take a group shoot，then we went back and doing the sketchbook for our lesson and artist research.

i love the picture which is the detail of my ring shoot, the ring is shining on the picture. I think it is a successful picture. At this lesson，i didn’t feel tired or hard，i think because i really enjoyed this lesson. Taking nice pictures can make me feeling happy.

In conclusion，i think this lesson is not only take photo and feeling exciting，i also learned how to understand the direction of contrast between light and shadow. After this lesson，i think my skill of taking photo is much better than before. In the future，i will keep practicing and taking more nice pictures！

As i almost done with my sketch book and blog，i am going to evaluate my all the lessons during this halfterm. I had learn 8 subjects which is photograph，moving image，fine art，textile，critical and contextual，graphic and illustration，3D design and visual study.

For photograph i learned how to use manual pattern of camera. We focused learning how to capture the different photos with different model，such as shutter speed with panning shot，slow and fast shutter speed. For moving image i had learn how to use AI to create a little video by ourselves. For fine art i learned lots of way with different materials to painting and drawing. For textile the most amazing thing impressed me is learning how to use sewing machine！i enjoy that lesson even it’s quite hard. For graphic and illustration，i realized how to use photoshop to create a new staff or collage with our painting which is the movie called (the jungle book). For visual study，we focus on practice our drawing level which is we had a lesson for life drawing and sketch. The last one is critical and contextual，in my opinion，i think it’s might be the most knowledgeable subject because it’s is talking about art history. During study in this subject，i realized lots of famous artists and the background of each period. We also done some drawing，painting with this subject，i love this subject because i saw my improvement. That developed in various aspect of my art study.

I found lots of reference material during some of the lesson. Such as i did some artist research，i wrote the critical and contextual homework which has lots of information from Internet. I think i should doing some more this kind of work in the future，that can improve my knowledge of art. The Renaissance period impressed me most. I love the drawing style of Vinci，and i also had a imitate painting when i was studying at the Renaissance period. In the past，when i was drawing or painting i just casually draw what i want. But now，i realized lots of different period artists and different styles. So i can exactly know what i am going to drawing now，and as before just casually draw something. I think that is a development for me during the project. I wish i can explored my drawing skill in the future，it will be easy to reduce the problem which is looks bad when i realized how to doing the project.

In the studio today, i had learn the relationship of each color. There are primary second and tertiary color i realized at this lesson.

Our teacher teached us the primary colour ,the secondary colour and the tertiary colour.We followed our teacher to draw some colour samples at first,and mixed the different primary colour to get the secordary colour.We drew the primary colour on the first line at the beginning, and I put red and yellow together, and I mixed them,then I get anther new colour, orange.I also mixed yellow and blue,red and blue,then I also get the green and purple each.

At first I found it a bit difficult,as I did not mix these secondary colours very neatly. Then I drew these new colours on the second line.The results weren’t what I was expecting,because my colour didn’t look very neat and clean. Next on the third line,I mixed some tertiary colours.Then we drew a big colour circle and I divided it to 12pieces.I drew the secondary colour into every pieces. In this fine art class，I learned about mix colour and kowned about what is the primary colour，the secondary colour and the tertiary colour.

Today i was working on fine art etching. We carved plastic plate with knife and use the machine to print it. We also used some special black ink brushed the plastic plate to cover the trace of the knife. I was interested in flnding out what is the different between i brush more ink or less ink on the plastic plate.

I found it really fascinating because i it well. I enjoy the process of learning how to make the plastic plate，even it’s really hard. Firstly，we put gloves on the hand and put paper into water for 5min. Then we put ink on etching plate，use scrapper scrap the ink. After that，we clean the ink and use 2 newsprint include plate into the machine. the first picture is my first outcome，the second picture is my third outcome.the third one was exactly what i had been hoping for.

What i learned is that how to use etching equipment and print the plate. To achieve a better result，i need to practice more times and carved more details.

Today I was working on the 3D design is called pop-up design I used paper to make a building mordel. We used grue，scissors，knife and rule. I enjoyed the process of learning how to use paper to make model because I am really like handwork. But actually i can not do it well.my imagination is not good，so it’s so hard to me to doing this kind of work.

for me, I think it quiet hard because I had failed to make the paper building. when I competed for this work, I see it not what i want. then it was really stunning me because of my friends outcome are very impressed me. They didn’t make any mistake.however，i cutted wrong area when i during the work.

I know now that the how to make a pop-up building. I will try to be more carefully next time. if I can try one more time, I think it will be much better than today what I did.

In this lesson, we have learned to make a collage of the jungle book. Therefore, I decided to make a collage which has forests elements. Finally, I drew background with impressive color which is dark purple and dark blue. Then I cut my first outcome as a snake shape some leaf stick on the second outcome.

From this lesson I have learned how to use different materials to make a collage which looks like a cover. Actually my outcome I feel failed. I felt really hard when I was painting because I can’t control the dynamic of brush the pictures.

In retrospect, I now understand that some drawback I can avoid. like the background of the jungle book should be more green and have some more forest elements. The next time i do this activity, i will focus on the whole visual effects . Because now I know how exactly make the collage looks like a cover and the visual effects is very important.
